I’m constantly coming up with small business ideas and branding for them. This project, Forty Eight Hemp Wick, has been on my mind for quite some time. Similarly to my mentality when approaching the NORML@UCF rebrand I recently completed, I understood that brand communication didn’t have to be overt. For fear of remaining stagnant in the same ways that marketing materials and branding in the cannabis industry have been for decades, I decided to brand NORML@UCF and Forty Eight Brand hemp wick with the same outlook- Contemporary, clean, and sophisticated.

The name Forty Eight is derived from the 48-pound test wick that is used in the making of the product.
